Sally was frustrated, She hated elements of her job, She wanted to reduce her hours and spend time with her child, but didn't feel confident stepping down would give enable her to have the retirement she wanted.
Together we went through the wealth wheel and discovered the things that bought her joy and happiness - a lot of these were low cost or no cost activities like gardening or going for walks. - so the cost of the retirement she wanted was reduced. We also looked at the unseen costs of her choices.
We set up a spending plan and a fix it once budget, so she could get a real time handle on how much she spent.
With this data she could look at her defined benefit pension and make a decision from a place of knowing on whether it was enough She could also decide of stepping down was right for her.
Jason was at a cross roads he didn't know whether to go for a headship or take a sideways career step, pursuing development opportunities aligned with their true passions.
He feared not being able to provide for his family now and in retirement.
Together we worked through the wealth wheel to establish what kind of retirement he wanted. We also prepared him for having a conversation with his wife.
Together they worked through the fix it once budget. We didn't cut anything, just moved a few things around so he was paying himself first.
With that he knew his spending, knew what he needed to bring in which gave him the clarity to decide what to do next. We also looked at his pension and armed with his spending habits and knwledge of his lifestyle choices he could work whether that worked.

Raj wanted to spend his summer travelling, but he was at loss of how to do it without getting into debt.
We use the 'Make it Big' method. We set up a 'Fix it Once' budget so he could to track his spending. Then through coaching we identified the area he could cut and design a spending plan tied to this. We then created a vision for what that Summer would look and feel like. We made this vision so big, he no longer want the smaller weekly treats because he knew and could taste what he could have instead.
